As the former founder and CEO of Skinphorea Facial Bar, Hayes grew the brand to three locations in Michigan and Dallas before shifting her focus to a larger calling, The Hayes Institute of Esthetics & Entrepreneurship. Today, as CEO, she leads an institution with multiple campuses serving Wayne and Washtenaw County that merges esthetics licensing with real world business training to create meaningful, long term career pathways in the beauty and wellness industry. Hayes is driving a first of its kind model in partnership with the State of Michigan, leading credit unions, CDFIs and insurance partners to expand access to education, business funding and entrepreneurship support. Her programs equip aspiring and existing beauty professionals to launch, scale or rehabilitate businesses, positioning them to build sustainable income and generational wealth. Under her leadership, graduates have opened successful studios, clinics and beauty brands, strengthening the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and creating full time jobs throughout Metro Detroit. Deeply committed to empowering women and underrepresented founders, Hayes has mentored hundreds of entrepreneurs, helping them achieve financial independence, business readiness and long term stability. Through her companies, she has generated employment opportunities, advanced workforce development and reinvested directly into the communities she serves.
